Science Meets Spectacle: The Amazing Chemistry Show Comes to Vero Beach

DYER Showroom Award Ceremony Group Portrait

For the first time ever, the Treasure Coast is getting a front-row seat to one of the most talked-about science events in the country.

On Friday, April 10th, Christ Church Academy is hosting a Day of Science for all our Lower School students. They will have the opportunity to discover just how exciting science can be through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and discussion. It’s a full-day immersion experience that the kids will remember.

After school, Christ Church Academy will also host the Amazing Chemistry Show and Family Experience which is open to the public — this is Josh’s nationally touring production that turns chemistry into pure, high-energy entertainment for the whole family. Admission is free.

The evening runs from 4:45 to 8:45 PM and is built around two distinct experiences. The first is a one-hour live stage show featuring fire, explosions, colored foam, liquid nitrogen, and glow-in-the-dark solutions — all set to upbeat music, with audience members pulled right into the action. The second is a self-guided Family Experience in the Lower School Commons, where more than 150 hands-on science activities wait to be discovered — from wind tunnels and catapults to microscopes, electricity demonstrations, rockets, and magnets.

The show is the creation of Josh Denhart, a National Board Certified science educator with a master’s degree in effective instruction and more than a decade of experience as a children’s pastor. His organization, KidMin Science, takes the production to communities across the country — and Christ Church Academy Vero Beach was able to book a slot.

Two show times are available: 4:45 PM and 6:00 PM. Doors open at 4:30 PM for check-in. Families attending the earlier show will head to the stage first, then move into the Family Experience. Those registered for the 6:00 PM show will start in the Family Experience and move to the stage. Either way, the full evening is covered.

Kona Ice, Labby’s Italian Eats, and Double H Coffee will be on-site near the playground throughout the evening.

Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. The event is open to the public — children must be accompanied by an adult.
