CHRIST CHURCH ACADEMY
STEAM INNOVATION LAB

Educating Through
Creativity and
Innovation

Students don’t just learn about science and technology; they experiment, build, create, solve problems, and discover what’s possible through hands-on experiences in our dedicated STEAM Innovation Lab.

Every Child Is Naturally Curious

Children are born asking questions.

“How does that work?”

“What would happen if…?”

The right learning environment doesn’t silence that curiosity; it cultivates it.

At Christ Church Academy, our STEAM Innovation Lab gives students opportunities to explore, investigate, create, and think critically through engaging, hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to the real world.

More Than Technology

Preparing Students for the World They’ll Inherit

Technology continues to reshape nearly every industry and profession. That’s why our goal isn’t simply to teach children how to use technology. We help them become confident thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and collaborative learners who understand how to use technology with purpose and wisdom.

Students explore concepts in:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Design Thinking

Because tomorrow’s leaders won’t just consume technology, they’ll create with it.

A Dedicated STEAM Innovation Lab

Unlike schools that occasionally incorporate STEAM activities into the classroom, Christ Church Academy has a dedicated, purpose-built STEAM Innovation Lab designed specifically for exploration, experimentation, and innovation.

This creative space gives students opportunities to:

  • Design and build projects
  • Explore engineering concepts
  • Conduct hands-on investigations
  • Practice creative problem solving
  • Learn through discovery and collaboration

Learning becomes something students experience, not simply something they’re told.

Learning to Code Through Play

One of the highlights of our STEAM program is introducing students to coding through interactive robots like Dash® by Wonder Workshop.

Students program Dash using visual coding, allowing them to:

  • Learn sequencing and logic
  • Develop computational thinking
  • Practice debugging and perseverance
  • Collaborate with classmates
  • See their code come to life immediately

Coding becomes less intimidating—and far more exciting—when students can watch their ideas move, respond, and solve challenges in real time.

Faith and Innovation

At Christ Church Academy, innovation and faith are never at odds.

We believe God created children to explore, discover, imagine, and create.

Our STEAM program encourages students to use the gifts God has given them while developing wisdom, integrity, perseverance, and curiosity.

Knowledge becomes most meaningful when it is grounded in truth and used to serve others.

The Benefits Extend Far Beyond the Lab

Students leave the STEAM Innovation Lab with more than technical skills.
They develop habits that benefit them throughout their education and beyond.

Students learn to communicate ideas clearly, persevere through challenges, build confidence through discovery, and embrace innovation with wisdom

These are skills that prepare students not only for future careers, but for faithful lives of leadership and service.

A Few More Things to Know

Students in Lower School participate in age-appropriate STEAM experiences designed to build foundational skills through hands-on learning.

Yes. Students are introduced to coding concepts using engaging tools like Dash robots, which make programming fun, interactive, and accessible for young learners.

Not at all. Activities are designed to meet students where they are and gradually build confidence and skills over time.

Students participate in regularly scheduled STEAM experiences as part of their educational program, with activities that reinforce and expand classroom learning.

Imagine What Your Child Could Discover

The questions your child asks today may become tomorrow’s inventions, solutions, and opportunities.

Give them a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and learning comes to life.
